A beautifully preserved natural space, Rum River Nature Area offers miles of trails winding through the natural oak trees and past the gentle river. Fiercely protected by locals, the area is a prime example of southeastern Minnesotan nature, abundant with native wildlife and waterfowl. The main trails for the area begin just behind the Rum River Library, set on the northern edge of town.
